The Training Program for Leaders

 

The Bethel Series is responding to several requests to have access to the program through electronic means. We hope to have our text available on a variety of devices, including the Kindle and the I-pad. With the help of several knowledgeable people, ideas are being formulated.

At the same time, we have sought the people with the necessary qualifications to assist us as we work to develop a new format for our training program. We have every intention of offering the best quality of what is available today to ensure that our ministers and leaders will be expertly trained.

The word will be out to the public as soon as the decisions have been finalized.

Dr. Robert Smith has served as our principal instructor for several years.  "Bob" is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School.  He served in the U.S. Navy and practiced law for eleven years before being called as Minister of Word and Sacrament.  He attended Columbia Seminary and Lexington Seminary for his theological training.  Bob has served as the pastor of churches and as a faculty member at Columbia Seminary where he organized and directed the Lay Institute of Biblical Studies.  His background in the secular world, his theological training, his experiences as a pastor of churches, his implementation of the Bethel Series program in four different churches, have all served to develop an outstanding instructor for the Bethel Series.

Madison is the home of the Bethel Series. Our capital city, centered on a narrow isthmus bound by four lakes, charms visitors with its enchanting beauty.

Madison is also the home of the University of Wisconsin (UW) campus and all of its cultural advantages. State Street Mall is a hub of activity. An interesting mix of shops and restaurants awaits your exploration.

There are endless possibilities for recreation during your free time, including golf, boating, swimming and tennis.
